Since December 2019, there has been an emerging public health concern regarding an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a new strain of coronavirus, 2019 Novel Coronavirus, which was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 3 Warningto avoid all nonessential travel to China. Additionally, the U.S. Department of State has elevated its travel advisory for China to Level 3: Reconsider Travel. Stanford is concurring with CDC recommendations that travelers avoid all non-critical travel to China.
In the event that we are not able to sponsor Global Studies internships in China this summer, students are advised to consider applying to positions outside of China. Students who have already applied to positions in China are now eligible to apply to other positions outside if China, even if they have already applied to two positions.

Organization Profile: Tomorrow Advancing Life (TAL) has more than 600 teaching centers and 4 million students in China. Xiao-Hou Code, is a brand from TAL, aiming at kids coding education. Xiao-Hou Code is a talented group with excellent curriculum design and product design, offering online courses and offline courses within 6 major cities in China.

Candidates are going to perform curriculum design or product design. Curriculum design is about Scratch/Python course slides and textbooks design, editing videos. Product design is about product iteration design, competing product research. Both of the position are highly project-based.

Eligibility and Requirements:
Applicants must be currently enrolled freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and coterms who are undergraduates in all majors, including undeclared. Coterm students must still have undergraduate status. MA students in the Center for East Asian Studies are also eligible to apply.
Applicants must be current Stanford students during the internship period. Seniors must postpone graduation paperwork until the internship ends, but may participate in commencement. For summer graduation requirements, including details regarding enrollment requirements and information about participation in the June commencement ceremonies, students should contact their major department's student services office and Registrar's Office for graduation quarter petition.
Preferably, before beginning their internships, selected candidates should have taken at least one course regarding the internship region. The course can be taken in the spring quarter.
