Since December 2019, there has been an emerging public health concern regarding an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a new strain of coronavirus, 2019 Novel Coronavirus, which was first identified in Wuhan, Hubei Province, China.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a Level 3 Warningto avoid all nonessential travel to China. Additionally, the U.S. Department of State has elevated its travel advisory for China to Level 3: Reconsider Travel. Stanford is concurring with CDC recommendations that travelers avoid all non-critical travel to China.
In the event that we are not able to sponsor Global Studies internships in China this summer, students are advised to consider applying to positions outside of China. Students who have already applied to positions in China are now eligible to apply to other positions outside if China, even if they have already applied to two positions.
The safety and wellbeing of our students are our top priorities, and Stanford University is actively monitoring the developing situation with respect to the spread of disease and potential impacts to university functions. The team also manages any business cases (with funding background), to get a live view on Cue’s various business lines and a real sense on how industries work.

New Retail Department – Product & Solution team
Product & Solution team designs, develops, and implements various pioneering commercial applications in digital marketing and new retail related field.
The team also leads many business cases to solve clients’ problems, leverage project experience to develop our solutions into products.
The team manages product implementation and operation optimization, and provide consultancy for digital transformation.

Strategy & Development Department (1 opening):
-Perform commercial due diligence on target company, and manage financial and legal due diligence processes
-Prepare analyst report on specific industry, and material for IC meeting

- Identify market trends in new retail industry, generate customized solutions for clients
- Plan, facilitate, optimize on-going new retail projects, and potentially expand business scope and geo coverage
- Works closely with end users and internal staff to understand workflow processes to ensure design of solutions/products satisfy stated needs.
- Provide business analysis of problems and new requests. Leverage expertise to provide consultancy to clients.
- Provide important data-driven insights and detailed business metrics to stakeholders.

- Applicants must be currently enrolled freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and coterms who are undergraduates in all majors, including undeclared. Coterm students must still have undergraduate status. MA students in the Center for East Asian Studies are also eligible to apply.
- Applicants must be current Stanford students during the internship period. Seniors must postpone graduation paperwork until the internship ends, but may participate in commencement. For summer graduation requirements, including details regarding enrollment requirements and information about participation in the June commencement ceremonies, students should contact their major department's student services office and Registrar's Office for graduation quarter petition.
- Preferably, before beginning their internships, selected candidates should have taken at least one course regarding the internship region. The course can be taken in the spring quarter.
