About the company: Karibu Homes is a social enterprise: our mission is to provide affordable housing solutions for hard-working families in Kenya. We currently have a project with 1,200 homes (573 complete) and another 1,200 homes planned for next year. We are the lowest price point in Kenya at the moment, have a large market share in Kenya, and are the first mover.
Project Description: Karibu Homes has sold over 400 homes and has interacted with over 5,000 low- to mid-income families whose dream of home ownership is a reality with our product. We need to work on improving our customers’ experience and gathering more data on how they feel and view our product. We can then design more customer-driven products and improve our sales experience to suit them and differentiate ourselves from our competition. As we scale up, we will be the market leader in affordable housing in region. Getting customer feedback/setting up the system is vital to our future. The project will involve direct contact with our customers, including both those who have bought and those who have not. It will involve maturing the use of our CRM and making recommendations on how we can enhance all our customer touch points (social media, website, etc.). The timing is ideal as we will have established our second site and most likely broken ground.
