Project Description: As QSS Group is growing across the East African region and beyond, it wishes to engage an intern with new and innovative ideas that will impact its move from manual to automated digital training program monitoring and management systems. The intern will interact with our trainers and project management teams to identify/develop software technologies that will improve and redesign the trainees, trainers, and project monitoring and manager experience with our management systems or project delivery mechanisms. The intern's project will include meetings and interviews with current trainees/students, trainers, project monitoring and administration officers, project managers, potential training project funders, and financial institutions to understand how the current management mechanisms satisfy their needs. Subsequent to getting a clear understanding of the challenges the manual system presents, the intern would suggest changes both to functionality and user experience, as well as help identify or build a prototype that automates the management systems in place. The intern would then be able to see the benefits in speed, quality and cost that their innovation would have introduced to the training process. This role requires a good understanding of human behavior, an appreciation of system design, and high levels of competence in the development of software.
