Blue Pool Capital Limited is a multi-strategy investment firm based in Hong Kong which manages the assets of the firm’s management and a group of close-knit long-term investors including select Alibaba founders. The firm invests globally in all the major asset classes including public and private equity and real estate. Summer Investment Analysts assigned to the firm’s private equity team will have an opportunity to evaluate target companies in a wide range of industries on potential investments and acquisitions, including the monitoring of current investments. Analysts may be involved in transaction due diligence, valuation analysis, industry research and other ad hoc projects and special reports. Summer Investment Analysts assigned to the firm’s hedge funds will work as part of the investment team to identify and evaluate investment opportunities, monitor investments currently within the portfolio, and communicate relevant company and industry information. The internship will culminate with a stock pitch.

Since FFF is a very small NGO, the intern is expected to provide assistance in all aspects of tasks, covering research, interviewing, fact-checking, translation, writing articles, social media, scheduling and lots of logistic coordination. The intern will work closely with the Capital Markets or Investment team of Gaw Capital Partners.
Responsibilities in the Capital Markets team will include:
- Conducting market research
- Creation and maintenance of marketing and due diligence materials such as PPMs and pitchbooks
- Preparing ad hoc presentation materials for internal management
- Responding to investors’ regular reporting and ad-hoc reporting
- Regularly updating financial models to reflect the performance of company funds/products

Responsibilities in the Investment team will include:
- Conducting general industry as well as specific market / submarket research and analysis

By the end of the internship period, the intern will ideally gain knowledge on the functions and daily responsibilities of the relevant team, as well as knowledge on the general real estate private equity industry.

Available for BOSP Hong Kong Program Fall, 2019 participants only. Selected interns will be awarded with a stipend from the program, the host organization, or both, to assist with housing, living expenses, and airfare. The overall stipend base (from the program, the host organization, or both) for summer 2019 is $6,000 for 8 weeks. Students are responsible for expenses beyond the stipend support.
