The Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies (CREEES) summer travel/research grants are available to Stanford graduate and professional school students conducting research for the dissertation or other major research projects advanced beyond an initial exploratory phase that are focused on the region. Recipients are awarded on average $2000 for research travel.
Eligibility and Requirements:
To be considered for a CREEES Travel/Research Grant, an applicant must:
Be enrolled in a graduate program or professional school at Stanford and plan to continue their studies in the following academic year.
Be focusing their research on Russia, Central and East Europe, the Caucasus, and/or Central Asia.
This grant may be combined with other sources of funding, but students may not use multiple sources of funding to cover the same expenses (i.e. CREEES funds cannot cover airfare if this expense is already being covered by a different funding source).
