Seed is a Stanford GSB-led initiative that’s working to end the cycle of global poverty. We believe that business is one of the most powerful engines of change to move developing and emerging economies to greater prosperity. To maximize our impact, we’re working on multiple fronts and across multiple time horizons. Seed is training business leaders in developing economies, inspiring Stanford students to become globally engaged leaders, and supporting critical research that can lead to breakthrough solutions.
Stanford Seed is looking for an intern with a passion for adventure, travel and storytelling to spend the summer of 2019 traveling throughout Africa and India gathering stories and content. Your goal will be to capture the Seed internship experience through the eyes of your fellow interns.
What you will do
Create content by capturing your own photographs and videos which showcase the Seed experience, including both the cultural and work environments
Collaborate with your fellow interns to gather and organize their photos and videos, giving them ideas and prompts for aspects of their experience to cover/capture
Upload and organize images and videos in Box database with correct labelling
Maintain a strong sensitivity to your environment ensuring you do not photograph or video anyone who doesn't wish to be filmed
Work with Seed's social media lead on the packaging and distribution of the content
Eligibility and Requirements:
Creative, outgoing, and proactive are the key characteristics required for this opportunity. You should genuinely enjoy connecting with others, thrive on variety, and be bold in new, unfamiliar environments. You have the natural ability to spot intriguing visual details and nuances and an ability to find the hidden story that sits under the larger, more obvious one. You pride yourself on being a good candid photographer, and ideally, videographer.
