About the company: Funkidz is the first children’s brand from Africa that designs and manufactures funky , functional furniture. We have innovated our own building material using agro waste . This is the first of its kind in Kenya. It’s disruptive, innovative, and sustainable. This is a great opportunity for an intern to be a part of disruption in Africa.

Project Description: By innovating and producing our own block boards from waste materials, and other boards for the construction industry, we aim to create an affordable and sustainable product to be used in our furniture as well as interiors. Fun Kidz is seeking an intern with knowledge of mateials development towards this effort. We will be able to reduce our cost of production and increase our sales. We set out to manufacture affordable furniture in Kenya and this will go a long way in achieving this.
