Stanford Seed is looking for two interns with a passion for adventure, travel and storytelling to spend the summer of 2020 travelling within Africa and/or India gathering stories and content. Your goal will be to capture various aspects of the Seed Transformation process, from company growth to internship experiences to impact.
Tasks:
- Create content by capturing your own photographs and videos which showcase the Seed experience, including both the cultural and work environments;
- Collaborate with your fellow interns to gather and organize their photos and videos, giving them ideas and prompts for aspects of their experience to cover/capture;
- Upload and organize images and videos in Box database with correct labelling;
- Maintain a strong sensitivity to your environment ensuring you do not photograph or video anyone who doesn't wish to be filmed;
- Work with Seed's social media lead on the packaging and distribution of the content;
- Assist with other communications and marketing related task, as required.
What you will do
Gain hands-on experience and put theory into practice while working in a small to medium-size company in low- to middle-income countries
Contribute to projects leading to the transformational growth of companies in the region.
Learn about a different culture, and about the challenges and opportunities of doing business in developing and emerging countries.
Explore private-sector solutions to international-development challenges.
Build the skills needed in a global marketplace.

Creative, outgoing, and proactive are the key characteristics required for this opportunity. You should genuinely enjoy connecting with others, thrive on variety, and be confident in new, unfamiliar environments. You have the natural ability to spot intriguing visual details and nuances and an ability to find the hidden story that sits under the larger, more obvious one.You pride yourself on being a good candid photographer, and ideally, videographer. You can work independently in a foreign environment, in addition to collaborating closely with your colleague(s).
