Seed is an exciting Stanford GSB-led initiative working to end the cycle of global poverty. We partner with entrepreneurs in emerging markets to build thriving enterprises that transform lives. As a Seed intern, you can work alongside talented entrepreneurs and contribute directly to a company’s future, its growth and job creation.
WHO: Stanford undergraduate and graduate students who are curious, eager, and inspired to make a difference.
WHAT: Exciting summer internship at a Seed Transformation Program company—a locally owned small- to medium-sized company that has engaged with Stanford Seed to help grow and scale their business.
WHEN: Summer 2021 for 8–10 weeks.
WHERE: Various countries in West Africa, East Africa, Southern Africa and India.

FUNDING: The undergraduate stipend rate is competitive with other Stanford-sponsored undergraduate summer internship programs of a similar length. Students who qualify for financial aid, may receive an additional $500 to $1,000. The graduate student stipend rate is competitive with other opportunities available to Stanford graduate students, including Stanford GSB students (view detailed funding information here)

The following Stanford University students are eligible to apply (all majors are accepted):
- All current and graduating Stanford GSB students, including MBA1, MBA2 and PhD students
- Current and graduating undergraduate sophomores, juniors, graduating seniors (freshman are not eligible to apply)
- Full-time, degree seeking graduate students from other Stanford schools
