The IDA Undergraduate Fellowship is a year-long paid program for undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds, creative disciplines, and academic majors. This fellowship commissions new artwork from students, with the help of a creative community, time for generative art practice, professional and artistic mentorship, and a deepening of social justice principles. This is a three-quarter fellowship with weekly commitments.
What you will do
Create a new piece of artwork or body of work
Cultivate a creative community of practice
Meet quarterly with a professional/artistic mentor
Curate a quarterly community engagement event
Exhibit a final presentation of the new work alongside the cohort
Eligibility and Requirements:
IDA does not recommend this fellowship alongside multiple quarters of major coursework, or multiple leadership commitments.
On-campus participation is required for the duration of the school year—students who will be abroad for any quarter of the 2024-25 academic year are not eligible for the fellowship.
This opportunity is open to all academic years, but recommended for Sophomores and up.
