The Center for African Studies (CAS) is excited to announce a new funding opportunity called the CAS Research Partnership, which enables undergraduate students to work directly with Stanford faculty on innovative research projects during the upcoming spring and summer quarters. Whether you're interested in climate resilience, mental health, linguistics, or heritage curation, there's a project waiting for you!

Projects available to work on:

  1. Co-creation of a youth-facing CIRCLE platform in Kenya
  • PI: Desiree LaBeaud, Professor of Pediatrics (Infectious Diseases)
  • Duration: Summer 2024 (Hybrid Opportunity)
  1. French Is Not My Mother Tongue: Linguistic Alienation and Recovery of Self in African Literature
