Test your fit with an entrepreneurial career path by interning at an early-stage, environmental sustainability-focused company for the summer, with a salary supplemented by Stanford. The Ecopreneurial Summer Internship Program (EcoSIP) is open to grad students across Stanford university, so long as they will be returning to enroll at Stanford for the Fall or Winter after the summer. The application deadline is rolling and applications will close when funds run out. This posting will be taken down when applications have closed. - 8- to 10-week summer internship program to explore and test your fit with an ecopreneurial career path
- Self-source your own startup internship, or apply to pre-sourced opportunities
- Mentorship from an experienced individual at the company with 10 to 15 years of industry experience
- A community of EcoSIP peers and regular summer meetings to share and learn from key lessons across the EcoSIP community
- EcoSIP is meant to expose students to the life of an early-stage ecopreneur. An internship that solely focuses on R&D or tech development would not be a good fit for this program. Your internship can include these things, but it should also be designed to expose you to startup business model evaluation activities as well (e.g. working with customers, testing growth hypotheses, gathering data to support strategic directions, etc.)

Eligibility and Requirements:
Student applicant requirements:
- Current graduate student, Stanford-wide
- Must be returning to enroll in classes at Stanford in the Fall or Winter after the summer
- Must work full time (40+ hours/week) at the internship for the duration of the internship
- Have a GPA of 2.25 or higher
Company applicant requirements:
- The role must give the student exposure to life of an entrepreneur in a scaling company, ideally including activities engaging with customers and participating in or being exposed to strategic decision-making within the startup. The role can include, but should not be limited to, technology R&D activities.
- Companies must have 5 to 50 full-time employees at time of application (contractors do not qualify), and a challenging issue or role for interns
- Can be a non-profit or for-profit company, whose business model has been validated through customer traction or outside investment
- Must be able to provide mentorship from an experienced individual at the company with 10 to 15 years of industry experience
