Gould-ePluribus Stanford Graduate Fellowship
Build the skills to talk across difference, then put them to work in your own community.
The Martin Daniel Gould Center for Conflict Resolution and ePluribus Stanford are launching a new fellowship for graduate students who want to improve the quality of discourse at Stanford and beyond. Fellows learn practical dialogue and depolarization skills, connect with peers across the university, and develop a proposal for a dialogue project in their own community, with priority eligibility for ePluribus Stanford funding. The fellowship is led by Rishi Batra, Associate Director of the Gould Center for Conflict Resolution, in partnership with ePluribus Stanford.
- Build practical skills. Learn tools for active listening, examining assumptions, and facilitating conversations across difference.
- Join a cross-school community. Meet graduate students from all seven of Stanford’s schools who care about constructive dialogue.
- Design a project. Work with fellows from your school to prepare a proposal for ePluribus Stanford for potential funding for a dialogue project in a community you care about.
Graduate students from any of Stanford’s seven schools: Business; Doerr School of Sustainability; Education; Engineering; Humanities and Sciences; Law; and Medicine. Fellows are chosen in Fall 2026 through faculty nominations and self-nominations.
No prior experience in dialogue or conflict resolution is required.
