The Division of Pain Medicine at Stanford is looking for several research assistants for the Biomarkers Study to help researchers and clinicians learn how pain progresses. In this study of biomarkers, we are examining the immune system for inflammation, the microbiome for gut health, various proteins, and the chemical processes that are involved in metabolism, and scan the brain using an MRI. Our study thus requires comprehensive, multidimensional assessments with an integrated dataset and a sophisticated computational analysis pipeline to yield reliable and validated diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers.
