Job Description:
Help one of the fastest growing software companies in Silicon Valley accelerate growth by joining its Strategic Accounts team. This team works with the top 20 technology companies globally - top clients include Cisco, IBM, HP, Adobe and SAP. Join this top performing team at Gainsight that is made up of former BCG consultants, as well as industry veterans from Oracle, Salesforce and other leading tech companies.
Through your sales internship, you will report directly into the VP of Strategic Accounts, a former Stanford alum and BCG consultant, and work closely with her team of 4 Directors of Strategic Accounts and 3 Inside Sales Reps. You will get to see all elements of world-class sales and customer success operations at the leading Customer Success Company -- Gainsight!
Role is in our Redwood Shores office, and you will work with us for 8-10 weeks this summer.
What You'll Do:
Scope of potential responsibility to include (will be narrowed based on your interests!)
- Help to build our Strategic Accounts Plans
- Help to execute on high touch "red carpet" events
- Help to monitor news and events with key companies and contacts
- Help to prospect into accounts to create net new sales cycles
- Help to build content in support of active sales cycles
We believe strongly in an "apprenticeship" model, and you will get to spend your summer shadowing different members of the Strategic Accounts team to learn from them and become an expert both in the Customer Success industry that is transforming B2B companies and the world of consultative outcomes selling.

BEAM FELLOWS
BEAM Fellows is a partnership between alumni and BEAM, Stanford Career Education, to connect undeclared students to alumni with non-technical summer internships. Alumni from diverse industries seek interns for a variety of substantive and engaging work. Past industries have included jewelry, entertainment, food & beverage, and wealth management among others; previous intern roles have focused on marketing, business, journalism, strategic planning, and more. Beginning in Winter Quarter, BEAM Fellows will post internship opportunities on Handshake for students to explore and pursue. Undeclared frosh and sophomores hired by alumni can apply for a stipend of up to $5,000 to help cover the cost of travel and living expenses during their summer internship. The stipend process is completed by BEAM, and all interviewing and hiring is at the discretion of the participating employers. Students may submit a stipend application at the link below when they apply to a position. Applications are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. BEAM, Stanford Career Education will make its best effort to review and reply within 10 days of receiving your application. You will receive an email sharing how much you would be awarded if you are hired by the employer. You do not have to have an offer to apply.
