About the company: FDCI is a growing nutrition company focused on qualitative production of eggs, chicks and animal feed; providing economic opportunities for local communities and employment from Denguele region in the northwest region of Cote d’Ivoire and border countries (Mali, Guinea, Burkina Faso). Le Fermier du Denguele farm is situated in the village of Odienne, in the north of La Cote d’Ivoire and in the heart of one of the most important regions for livestock rearing.
The farm has positioned itself as a one stop shop for all poultry produce and offers incubation and sale of day old chicks, live birds and feed processing. The next step is to move into dressed and frozen birds for the growing market in the country.
FDCI is well positioned to create an additional number of jobs in excess of 500 to over a 1000, while developing the farmers in the north. FDCI is well supported by experts in the field – FDCI’s principal technical advisor has 40 years experience in poultry farming in Belgium and they are also working closely with a UNIDO expert in strategic planning, marketing and financial diagnostics.
