SoCo is more than a class, it’s an experience. Taking one class during the last three weeks of summer, you might visit the tundra in Alaska, the mountains in Patagonia, or a theater festival in Oregon. Learn to DJ, or spend some time with the otters in Monterey. Question the future of humanity, dive into the mythology of California, and explore the connection between politics and religion. One way or another, you'll learn, explore, create, and make lifelong connections.

What you will do
- Take a single class for 3 weeks
- live in community with your classmates
- go beyond the classroom for field trips and hands-on learning
- connect with your faculty
- move in early to prepare for sophomore year
Eligibility and Requirements:
Open to all frosh and first-year transfers.
SoCo is an intensive, immersive experience so cannot have substantive conflicts from Aug 30 to Sept 18
