Entrepreneurial knowledge and skills are best learned by doing. And we believe startup ideas are best evaluated through an immersive process of understanding customer needs, formulating and testing hypotheses about the product or service, value proposition, go-to-market strategy, and value creation model.
The SEI program provides graduate students who will be returning to Stanford after the summer the ability to evaluate their own venture ideas full-time for 8 weeks over the summer, with stipend, coaching, workshops, and a supportive community.
There are 3 different SEI programs, each with a distinct themes (if your project meets the criteria, you can be considered for more than 1 program):
1.) Botha Chan Innovation (for-profit business models only)
2.) Eco-Sprint (any business model; projects must be sustainability/environment related)
3.) Impact Design Immersion Fellowship - IDIF (any business model, must have social impact outcomes)
What you will do
Evaluate the viability of your own start-up idea
Learn about the Innovation Process framework for start-up creation
Network with Stanford student entrepreneurs
Receive strategic coaching from expert advisors
Experience entrepreneurship through doing and building
