The City of Palo Alto has provided a full range of utility services (electric, gas, water, and sewer) for over 100 years, and is one of the only publicly-owned gas utilities in the State of California. 

The Hawaii Public Utilities Commission’s primary duty is to protect the public interest by overseeing and regulating public utilities to ensure that they provide reliable service at just and reasonable rates.

DWR protects, conserves, develops, and manages much of California's water supply. This includes the State Water Project (SWP), the nation’s largest state-built water conveyance program, which also produces hydroelectric power.

Building on the state’s success in decarbonizing its economy, the California Air Resources Board takes action to battle climate change beyond 2020 while improving air quality.

The California Energy Commission (CEC) is the state's primary energy policy and planning agency. The Office of Commissioner Patty Monahan leads CEC’s transportation policy work and the development of the 2020 Integrated Energy Policy Report.
