The Stanford Woods Institute for the Environment invites Stanford students to submit proposals for Mel Lane funding for student-driven projects that make a measureable impact on an environmental issue.

Engineering in Service International Fellows have the opportunity to spend a summer working full time with a supervisor/mentor in an international organization of their choice. This application is for graduate students only, for undergraduates please see the appropriate application.

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must be graduate or professional students or post-docs at Stanford University at the time of the application and at the time of eligible travel.  
AWARD DETAILS: Up to $250 per person per event for in-state travel; up to $500 per person per event for out-of-state travel.  Awards will be announced quarterly.  Apply early!

Want to study Arabic this summer? Need funding for a research project? Looking to support an internship? Apply for a grant of up to $5,000 from the Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies.

We invite proposals for projects relating to Islam or Muslim societies in any region of the world and historical time period.  Abbasi grants can help support projects undertaken during this summer or in the next academic year.

The Stanford Center at Peking University (SCPKU) in Beijing, China provides the perfect setting for this exciting opportunity for Stanford Co-Term, Master's or Ph.D level students in Political Science, Sociology, History, and related fields, who are contemplating social science research on non-contemporary topics, especially if they are interested in research on China.

The Stanford Center at Peking University (SCPKU) in Beijing, China provides the perfect setting for this exciting opportunity to study the deepest mysteries of nature:  elementary particles, space time and the origin of the universe.  Participants' airfare, accomodations, and food will be covered by SCPKU.  Taught by Stanford Associate Professor Chao-Lin Kuo in the Department of Physics,  this three-week seminar will focus on research in frontiers of fundamental physics and its relation to society.  All enrolled Stanford students in good academic standing are eligible to apply.
