This is a joint application for IDA's two flagship student programs: the IDA Fellowship and the Artists-in-Resonance. The IDA Fellowship cultivates leadership in community arts practice and AiR provides materials support for a year-long creative project. 

Gain first-hand experience in community organizing, build awareness of climate and environmental injustices at Stanford's doorstep, and help expand the capacity of a grassroots organization working for change.

Work with a new, grassroots organization in South San Francisco centering frontline communities in climate-focused community education, outreach, and policy advocacy.

This fellowship offers the opportunity to work with a climate-focused government agency in San Mateo County and gain real-world experience in both the technical and policy aspects of planning and implementing climate-resilient infrastructure.

Work with an innovative nonprofit building food resilience among underserved families in San Jose and beyond by helping develop program curriculum.

Support climate resilience and environmental justice advocacy efforts that equip and empower East Palo Alto community members. 

This course on the evolving Chinese medical system explores how AI will improve healthcare delivery. Students will gain a foundation in design thinking and lean launch principles, using AI to rapidly test new ideas, incorporate user feedback, and design sustainable digital products.

Examine China’s healthcare system with a focus on rural eye health. Topics include healthcare policy, NGO roles, TCM integration, and vision care funding. Includes case studies on government-NGO partnerships and visiting the Lifeline Express surgical train.
