The Study of Women in Asia Fellowship supports one to two graduate students from any discipline whose research concerns women in Asia, broadly defined.  This award provides three quarters of TGR tuition plus three quarters of stipend at $7,000.

Academic-year fellowships for intensive language and area studies coursework.  2nd-year or higher language courses eligible, with preference for 3rd year and beyond.  Students must take language and one area-specific course per quarter.

Partial funding for Stanford undergraduates to undertake the study of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or other approved language (by petition) overseas in a full-time, pre-approved, accredited language study program during the summer session.  

Grants for East Asian Studies MA & PhD students, for academically-related summer language training, required coursework, fieldwork, or dissertation research or write-up. U.S. and international students eligible; priority given to CEAS MAs.
